22 July and Democratic Citizenship

An educational programme in education for democratic citizenship, human rights and intercultural understanding connected to the commemoration - and learning centers at Utøya and 22 July Center. The programme provides tools and strategies to young people and teachers to prevent hate speech, discrimination and extremism.

Learning Democracy at Utøya

Young people visit the 22 July Center and Utøya, participate in trainings and develop their own workshops which afterwards are carried out with their peers in their school and/or local community.


Teacher trainings

Trainings for Norwegian teachers, educators and those who work closely with young people on 22 July and democratic citizenship.


Day visit

Students and teachers visit Utøya or the 22 July Center and participate in learning activities.

International trainings and workshops
